We are pleased to to announce Alex Lane, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine, has been appointed as Co-Director for the Internal Medicine Advanced Clinical Rotation (ACR).
Dr. Lane graduated from Southern Illinois School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He was selected as a chief resident. During his residency, Dr. Lane fostered his interest in medical education, creating resident and medical student curricula in high value care, patient safety, and simulated patient encounters. His curriculum in High Value Care was awarded first place in high value curricula at the High Value Care National Conference. As a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Dr. Lane regularly supervises phase III medical students on the Hospitalist and FIRM service teams and has collaborated with current ACR leadership to develop a scheduling algorithm for Hospital Medicine learners.
