Dr. Ehsan Sha’ban is an instructor in medicine in Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He earned his medical degree from The Hashemite University in Jordan in 2022, where he developed a strong academic foundation in internal medicine and an early interest in the comprehensive care of hospitalized patients with complex medical conditions. Following medical school, Dr. Sha’ban completed his Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC). Throughout residency, he was actively involved in multiple quality improvement initiatives focused on optimizing inpatient workflows, strengthening patient safety practices, and improving overall clinical outcomes. His clinical focus is general internal medicine with an emphasis on hospital-based care, including the management of acutely ill and medically complex patients. He is enthusiastic about contributing to the academic, clinical, and patient-care mission of WashU Medicine and is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate inpatient care as part of Hospital Medicine.
