Dr. Brigette Davis is a social epidemiologist whose research focuses on the social and structural factors that influence health outcomes, particularly among Black communities. She is also interested in how these factors are defined, measured, and studied in public health research, with an emphasis on how they operate across institutions and over the life course. Born and raised in St. Louis, she is a proud graduate of St. Louis Public Schools.
In her role as Senior Scientist, she works closely with Drs. Sunny Lin and Gmerice Hammond to examine access to high-quality healthcare services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Swarthmore College, a master’s degree in Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health, and a PhD in Population Health Sciences from Harvard University.
